Spring Break Binge-Watching

School seems like an endless pit of doom and our glorious breaks only come once in a while. This spring break is your time for some R&R – sleep in, invite a friend over, stay in your PJs, pour yourselves a big bowl of Cocoa Puffs, and marathon the heck out of your television. Below are some suggestions:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine:

The stereotypical cop show does not apply to this show at all! Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows the lives of people from the 99th Precinct, a fake station. The jokes never end on this one.

Now on its’ 5th season, Glee is a comedy-drama series about the McKinley High Glee Club. This simple idea became an international movement, because of the relatable topics discussed on the show. Ryan Murphy, a creator of the show, announced that the 6th season would be the last after losing Cory Monteith, Finn Hudson to a heroin and alcohol overdose. You don’t have to be a glee to marathon this show!

“First Kiss”: Famous Fib

I remember seeing the shares on Facebook stacking up on Facebook, my friends falling in love with this video capturing the beauty of a first kiss. I too watched this video and was touched until I got to the credits. The “Kissers” are all actors, singers, every-day famous people. One woman, Soko, who was featured in the vid, wrote the song that the video played to! Watching the video and seeing the “chemistry” between the actors gives us a false sense of hope of what could be for us. And once again, media has fooled us – the video was a commercial for the clothing line, Wren. Know the facts!

Many parodies of First Kiss have been made, but my favorite has to beĀ First Sandwiches, by CollegeHumor.
